When my child was here, I thought this daycare was good. But after removing my child from this centre, I realized that they lacked a lot. For starters, they never seemed to be happy about being at work or taking care of the kids. Then, my child was at the centre for over 2 years and did not get curious about French nor coming home excited about what was learned. However, I changed to another daycare in another jurisdiction and my child started counting, singing songs, reciting the ABC’s in French as well as Coming home to teach us new words they learn at school. This never happened at Les lucioles Whitby. I didn’t realize there was a difference until I noticed how excited the new centre staff are to see my child. Just because people speak French, it doesn’t mean they are equipped at working in a daycare… it’s hard to get daycare space especially French speaking ones, but there should be a standard of care followed.

My oldest has been attending this centre for 2.5 years, and my youngest is set to begin next month. I cannot adequately describe how wonderful this daycare is, and how attentive & genuinely caring the staff are. They go above and beyond their duties; communication is excellent, any questions or concerns I've had are addressed in a timely manner, their activities are exciting and engaging and the rotating menus are hearty & healthy. I'm quite surprised this is the first review for this location! We're so lucky to have found this centre and hope JPII is equally awesome when our son starts school next year.

Our toddler started here august 2019. He had a rough time transitioning but the staff were very patient with him as he adjusted. They were caring and awesome the whole time. He loves it now.

My son goes to Les Lucioles in Bowmanville. I feel beyond comfortable and happy he attends this daycare. I wouldn’t want anyone else!
